Very nice post about her book. I echo many of your thoughts, specifically how she influenced his musical/lyrical content for the ten years they were a part of each other's life. Also, this paragraph...."But Garcia also expounds on Prince's interest in Egyptology and some aspects of eastern religions prior to his conversion. I think this is a fascinating period in the artist's life (the early '90s) and at this point in my research, I think he was beginning to return to some of those interests before he died."....is reflective of my opinion as well. I believe he was beginning to again embrace multiple spiritual concepts and perhaps, shedding some of the rigid doctrine (my view) of the JW tenets.

And, while many believe that Mayte's descriptive detail of Amiir's condition was disrespectful to his (Prince and even Amiir's) life, I emphatically disagree. It was shared and conveyed so beautifully that I could only interpret that Amiir was so very much loved and his fleeting earthly life and passing so deeply grieved.

So, thank you Erica, for sharing your blog about "The Most Beautiful".

Who in the world does not love their child? She expolited his death to get a check and get herself relevant. I am sorry once again I cannot understand how pulling someone away from to God to what some might call demonic shit is a good thing.

Everybody who knew Prince in the last 20 years said he was easier to deal with and his carreer even turned around.

There is even a interview where he talks about the bad forces around him at that time.
