Guitar Player opinion on Schecter Cloud Hello,
I've read all of discussions on this Schecter Cloud guitar on this site--some good comments...and others saying the quality is not worth the $$$...while others in it for the novelty of it (wall hanger). So this question is aimed at experienced guitar players that play and know about "high-end" guitars (sound, payability, value). I am thinking about buying a used one (stock: metallic white, set-neck, symbols on neck) for about $900. I like the smallish body size, non-tremelo, and of course body style). But I never got my hands on one or plugged one in... Would you consider the Schecter Cloud to be anywhere near the level of a Gibson Les Paul, Parker Fly, Fender Tele? I know we're talking completely different beasts...but I'm referring to it's vibe/mojo. Sometimes I can tell as soon as I grab the neck if it's got the goods. Your comments are much appreciated...Thanks!

It must be a good guitar, what is the wood used to make the body and the neck? You can always put emg pick ups like Prince, than if teh wood is the same you can get near Prince tone. I think Prince cloud is neck through body, it has greater sustain, but i think you can hae a great tone out of it. Anyway
i would prefer a good luthier to make a purple les paul or telecaster, or something like that. I luv purple. That's so glam and funky. And it always reminds me of Prince and Hendrix.

Firewood in comparison. Tone, "mojo" and otherwise. (IMO)
