A short overview of New Funk Order, Project 1, before we finalize- Ok. The NFO, Project 1, is nearing it's final stages. Songs are almost finished, track listings are almost complete, artist info is almost complete.
The next stage is to agree on artwork for the CD cover, and to discuss where the location of the final page link will be (I assume that it will be on Cloud9's site somewhere). I will be in charge of the New Funk Order site on MP3.com. Once I get everyone's songs uploaded to my computer, I will alternate songs on and off of there (since they only allow 3 songs on the site at a time). Also, the downloads should be FREE. No charge for downloads. We are all artists who believe in reasonably free access to music on the internet, and people like the RIAA have ruined what the sole purpose of music was for, by blasting companies such as Napster and AudioGalaxy. Since we are all in agreement on this, we should uphold the rights to all artists and musicians to promote and give freely and to let the listener enjoy our creations freely. Now CD's are a different situation. Unfortunately, it does cost money to produce a CD (be that it is a small price). We should also begin discussion about how we want to sell this CD. I think that the artwork should be made freely available to us Org musicians, and that we can burn and sell our own from home. And, if someone wants to, they can research the costs of a small production pressing of the final CD's. But most importantly, I do think that we should be able to burn and sell these from home (with agreement from the rest of the org musicians). After all of this, it is on to Project 2, hopefully this time with a bit more of an outline. We all have the right ideas and intentions, it's just that some of us don't have the equipment or home PC (LOL) to hold together the direction all of the time. But, Project 2 will be less rushed and technically better. Peace, JD PS: Feel free to discuss the topics above here on this post.

'dre Thanks, Dre! I would love to participate in your project. I think Project 2 can start whenever we officially have everyones song link and info listed on a webpage. So, I guess any day now Project 1 will be finished, as far as us Org musicians are concerned. Artwork, CD sales, and NFO Project 1 site discussion will be the only things left to talk about for Project 1. Peace, JD

Got it all covered the link will be newfunkorder.cloud9mission.com & I'll handel CDs via the third party company I use to sell mine. They charge a small percentage of a sale for a disc & we should charge whatever it costs us but downloads will be free from either mp3.com or from the new funk order main site
