Orgers - I just started a discussion board for singers of all types - beginners, pros, etc. I went looking for vocal tips and kept finding sites that were selling books, videos, or CDs. Nobody's giving up the deets without getting money. So I wanted to create a community, similar to the org, but for singers/vocalists of all styles, where we can all learn from each other, for recording, performing, practices, warmups, etc... And also there's sections for critiques - post your songs, and (hopefully) get decent feedback on what you're doing - either ways to improve, or whatever. It's still in it's infant stage, design-wise (in fact, there's NO design changes to the forum yet). But I wanted to hep you guys to it first, before I go posting the site on other music sites, search engines, etc. And NO, YOU DONT HAVE TO POST YOUR SONG THERE! a little org-musician-hangout humor there ... heh. heh. That's awesome Beau! Especially since I really admire the quality of your vocals on your recordings.
I will join asap and post about a great vocal teacher I know. I took some workshops with Arthur Joseph. Just taking the workshops made an immediate impact on my speaking voice, so I was very impressed. I haven't gotten into a practice routine, but I did get his book and video. www.vocalawareness.com | |
