This is the latest personal essay by Wax Poetics writer Michael A. Gonzales. "Something Happened" is about the writer returning to Hangerstown, Maryland after twenty years for his grandfather's funeral. Inspired by one of his favorite films "The Last Picture Show," this is a tale of a town brought down by time, boredom and drugs.
