Ok, if ya dont know how to get the direct link to a song, say if its on an mp3.com page - click the right mouse button on a link to it & click properties, you'll see a web address in there & that should be the link to your song. Copy & paste it on to this page & I'll download it. I'll need pics & info soon but for the moment just songs in mp3 format

Lewis - I don't think MP3.com's links to songs work that way - they really want you to go to their page to get the song... it's a spoofed URL, so adding it to a different page won't work.

But, hey, I could be wrong.

They REALLY want you to hit their site, so they can bombard you with popups, popunders, out-of-banner ads, and all that crud.

Good news, as the progect will be hosted on Cloud9Mission main server, my search engine ratings & hits will soon find there way to our project. I recently bought a banner campaign advertising my site on Harmonycentral.com, MP3.com, Audiogalaxy.com & a few other top sites.

Google search engine also checks the files on my site 7 times a day & most of the other search engines read from google now. So it wont be long before google finds the nfo site on my server & ranks it accordingly.

If ya have a website for your music too, I'll link it along with your nfo artist profile & it should bring some attention to your page.

For the non computer people, this project is gonna be pretty successful if things proceed as they are promotion wise

A for the record, it was Jason's wonderful idea for the project & it was Jason who implimented getting us all together but he & I agreed that my website would host the project, so Im not trying to organise the project, I just want your song files so I can start designing the site. Otherwise I cannot even begin.

My song isn't ready yet, so I probably have no say... but...

How come you can't just download them from the other thread where everyone posted their tracks? Seems the same as downloading them from the links on your forum.

Its my forum but Ive created the official nfo forum which will go along with the site & it make things easier if the songs are posted on there as I have written software that uploads the track from the link you post on the forum to my server ready for the nfo website

So as you see, the link is cool but thats not just what I need. If it goes posted on the nfo forum at cloud9mission, it gets uploaded to the server & both you & I can sit back while it does so rather than sit through a lengthy upload.

As Im doing this for free (& starting to change my mind ) I dont want the project to take up too much of my time so I cant concentrate on the big project I have next week who are paying webdesign customers.

So if ya'll could just post a link on the nfo forum at cloud9mission.com its gonna make life a lot easier. It'll take several days to download all your tracks from your websites to my computer & then upload them to the site from there but it will take a few hours to do it with the forum software & all you gotta do is post a link on there.

BTW vina, you design the site for manki?? Looks pretty cool
