I want to be able to learn more grips and chords on the guitar by playing songs that I love. Does anyone have good examples of Prince songs that sounds good in an acoustic singer songwriter style? If somebody could help me with some good examples, as well as tabs I would be very thankful! Some examples that I can think of are Alphabet Street, I Could Never Take The Place Of YOur Man, Little Red Corvette, Crazy You etc... but I'm not sure if I want to trust the sources I find on different tab pages, and some of them are blocked I think.

My level:
I play my guitar like a bass, and I'm pretty decent when it comes to the funky rhythmic one note at the time style. I also have a decent "feel" I think. However I used to be afraid of chords, and I really suck when it comes to advanced grips on the guitar.

My goal:
I think practicing good songs that are not too hard for someone like me to learn would help me develop the basic knowledge and skill I need to start composing with my guitar. I want to be good enough for composing, comping etc...
