Guitarists! Pick Poll...

I've been playing for almost 17 years and I STILL haven't found the perfect pick. What (gauge, shape and material) do y'all use?

I usually use Jim Dunlop Gel Mediums or M-L's, traditional shape.

I've been playing for almost thirty years, and my fingers are very sore.

Jim Dunlop USA 3.0 mm
the dark purple ones

Are the best picks i ever used, as a matter of fact, it's the only one i've been using for almost 2 years. Great for sweepping if you're playing arpeggios,
I hate thin guitar picks, they sound worse too.

Usually 3.0 but I will drop down to 2.5 or 2 when playing acoustic or 12 string.

Lately I've been using my nails alot. smile

Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another

I flip-fop between two types - the grey ones with the texture on the sides for better grip (dunno the names, I just walk into the store, point and grunt) OR the Orange Tortex - what's that, 80mm?

Thin picks are great for rhythm playing tho - I control the volume a lot better with thinner picks, but sacrifice dynamics.

I think I've found my perfect pick and I've been using it for a while now. I like the way it's bigger and easier to hold. I also like a medium gauge.
