Man, I really want to have the Roger Troutman sound on many of my songs, but I have never been able to find a good unit. I need something that will be mainly PA that I can hook up directly to my microphone and my 4 track. I ordered a Heil last year but it was either defective or I just didn't know how to use it.

Any links/thoughts?

Hey JD,

The Device U need iz called a talkbox it iz a little Box with a tube on top. it workz best with N amp that iz piggy backed.

the box iz connected between the amp N the Speaker. U put the tub in Ure mouth and mouth (Lip sync) the wordz N front of the mic. The synthesizer changez the pitch.

I've got 1. I would look at www.Roguemusic.com F they don't have 1, put Ureself on the list to let them know that U want 1 so they will e-mail U when they find 1 4 U.

I tried to build one, just using headphones, but the signal was too weak. If you get one of the small portable amps you could build one, and it may be cheaper than getting the Heil or another product built specifically for that purpose.
