Album in the works Featuring Dr. Fink...

Vintage Prince sounds, songs NOTHING like his. I'm playing all the instruments, (except for the keys Fink plays, so far on two songs) and I'm digging it. I'm doing it at a real studio, recording to a Studer 2" tape machine, 24 tracks and all the vintage gear used to get those middle-80s sounds. I like modern songwriting, but I always felt the sounds of those 80s records evolved too quickly and that there was much more exploring to do with an LM-1 and some OB-Xs. I'll update here often in the chance that anyone is interested.

My qualifications are that I've been doing music for 25 years and studying it like a science. I attended perhaps the most well-repsected jazz school in the world and Norah jones was one of my classmates. I truly know what I'm doing, but since art is totally subjective I don't have any expectations of loads of people liking the record. It's truly not for commercial considerations and when and if you hear the songs I think you'll agree. This is art music, not entertainment, (though hopefully it can do a little of both).

At any rate, just throwing this out there and not expecting much. Hopefully a few folks will dig it, maybe not. I'm doing this for me but I'd like to share it with those who want to hear it.

Thanks...

you don't have to apologize your direction in music before it's out there. Let people judge for themselves wink I'm very curious to hear smile
