My First Digital Single: "Windy (Love In Her Eyes)"

I just remembered today that Prince.org has a forum where people can share their creativity. So, I decided to do just that with the first song I put together with Pro Tools 10. It's not officially out yet because I am still having it mixed and mastered, but I put it on Reverbnation via this version just to see how it does there. In the end, it still may end up sounding like this, but I wanted to share it here and there for now. Feel free to let me know what you think, good or bad. If not, just listen, if you find the time. I remember writing this song years ago and sending it off to amateur song contests. It sounded very different than it does here due to lack of good equipment, etc., but I sent it off anyway. Back then, I was told that this particular song had a Prince feel to it. What do you think?

Thanks in advance,

Jimmie

I don't hear a clear Prince influence to be honest, nor a Donna Summer influence.

I am not too fond of electronic dance music anymore, I've had my phase in the early nineties but lost interest after a few years. So I find it hard to really appreciate your tune to be honest, with the oldschool housebeat and rave stabs.

If anything just keep on working on the arrangements and the overall production, and maybe take some singing lessons?

Not meaning to be rude, but just giving you my honest opinion (and advice)...

I appreciate your personal opinion and advice. I am aware tha you (ie. the universal you) can't please everyone. That's the chance anyone takes when making their creative work public:)
