Over the valleys...

Your voices ringing

In my ears

Voices of deceit,

Failure, or not

Measuring up

To standards

That had nothing

To do with who

And what I am

I ran away...

Far and fast

Until I was lost

In the blurrr

Of running...

Now, I find

Myself facing

What I ran away

From so long ago

The past never leaves

It comes back to

Smack you in the face

Right between the eyes

You can always run

From everyone else's

Opinion of yourself
