Harmonica

Hey guys, Im thinking about learning the harmonica. Is it hard? Did u learn on ur own? wat are some good harmonicas. i can't imagine that id have to spend more than 75 bucks to get a good oneAny advice you could give would be great thanks. So did some research and found this on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Hoh...=harmonica which comes with 3 harmonicas in 3 keys. is this worth it?

i play some blues harp... self taught... i use hohner marine brand harmonicas http://www.amazon.com/Hoh...B0002D00H8

i like them

is it hard?.. not to get going... once you get into bending notes etc it gets trickier

what you have to remember is if you're playing blues style, you don't use a harmonica that's in the same key as the music.... for example, you use a key of C harmonica to play blues in the key of G... and A for blues in E... G for blues in D etc

i use a lot of open tunings with my guitar playing, i play a lot in open G so i use a C harmonica most of the time

one way to learn is to walk up to the top of a hill with a harp and a bottle of whiskey... keep playing until the bottle is empty and you should just about have the hang of it smile
