I was working on the score to my first feature film, with a new friend who is a talented artist/animator/musician and just graduated the University of Michigan Masters of Fine Arts program, and another graduate of the same program was kind enough to shoot this mini documentary of us working. The violinist also edited this piece and delievered it to me (she can make movies too!)

Very cool. I'm a little jealous of anyone who can do these things and get paid for it!

I'm not getting paid for this particular work, neither is she! We're doing this because it's fun.

This is my first feature length project I'm working on that I'm doing everything on to avoid paying money to hire people. It's a feature movie I've been working on for over 5 years now.

If I won a lottery I would certainly pay her, and myself and make this into a more traditional production where you make a company out of the project and have a budget.

But as it is, I'm making most of this movie for free (outside of purchasing equipment and software). And most everyone that has helped has worked for free.

Thanks! This forum has shrunk over the years to very minimal activity compared to others, artists should be able to post to the "general discussion" forum because it's not just other artists that are the intended audience, and this forum kind of implies that it is a place for artists not general Prince fans..

It would be like saying you made a movie? Good, now screen it within the studio lot.

We'll see. Maybe it grows if Prince will release a new classic, hehe.
