I'm no poet, but I'll start I guess.
In Another Life:
Where have we met before?
Could it be at the pyramids,
Or on the pier?
You seem so familiar to me.
Its your blue eyes,
Shining like diamonds as you leer.
How did I know you?
Did I love or hate you?
Were you someone I fear?
Does it even matter?
That was all in the past,
In another life, my dear.
The Devil Named Ego:
The devil named ego longs to consume you
Surround you in mischief until the truth alludes you.
Take over then hide then want to resume you,
Ego's thoughts of grandeur will soon delude you,
Your kingdom will fall because ego has fooled you.
Pops:
Boy is pondering,
Awake in the dead of night.
Where is Pops?
is he giving a homeless man a light?
Is he the leader,
Behind the good fight?
Or is he hiding,
From a man holding a knife.
Maybe he's waiting,
For the time to make things right.
Boy can toss and turn,
Or can read what Pops had to write.
Pops is always here,
Even though he's never in sight.
One day Boy will meet Pops,
When he's ready to take flight.
Blue Form:
Is this a pipe dream or something fantastic?
Was the hookup given to you by a crow or a rabbit?
Was it's smile genuine or sarcastic?
Do you want this or is it a force of habit?
Sign the blue form,
and you break your own norm.
Expose your true form,
And fear failing but feel born
Back away and remain unscathed,
Back away and risk a loss of faith
Back away from this endless race
Back away but you won't be chased
The Leaf Blowers:
The wind whistles throughout the lonely night.
Freezing gardens with a cold delight.
Branches are shaken,
a leaf takes flight.
With no one around to show it light.
Avoid the leave blowers
that send you off course
let them find their own way,
towards the warmth.
The Dream Stealers:
The wind whistles throughout the lonely night.
Freezing gardens with a cold delight.
Branches are shaken,
a leaf takes flight.
With no one around to show it light.
Avoid the leave blowers
that send you off course
let them find their own way,
towards the warmth.
