Hello peoples. Just wanted to keep up with everyone. There are a few things that I and we all need to know.

First, a roll call of all musicians who are participating in the project.

Second, let us know if you are completing a song for this CD or if you are just going to submit tracks to one of us to add to. I must warn though, not everyone has compatible equipment to do the collaborations, including myself. The only thing I could do is to interpolate and transpose your tracks with the equipment that I have (I can do this by ear). I prefer that we all submit our own tracks for now, until some kind of scheduele is made in the future where we could meet in person for a weekend somewhere to jam.


So, as I said, I would like for this project to be completed by March 15th. I have my two songs complete. The songs are titled "Fun" and "2 Funky 4 Church" (thanks, Vina!)

So, let's sound off on who is participating, and from there, let's all get the work done and place the songs on your website or a site similar to MP3.com so that we can all download a complete CD and arrange a songlist when we are finished.

I was thinking - another option would be to provide the backing tracks to a song and let somebody else sing it... we can all mix down our stuff without the vocals, and then somebody else could download that version, and copy it - either copy it into a 4-track as the 1st 2 stereo tracks, or put it into cakewalk or whatever.

I've got several songs - I just dunno which ones I want to submit. Is anybody interested in singing other folks' songs? THEN it would be a collaboration of sorts. And if you play guitar or keys, then we could mix just the drums/bass of the song and let somebody else add THEIR guitar/vocals, etc.

I'm working on a track that I'd like to add.

Ok. As of this post, we have 5 people signed up for the project, this includes me. I know there are others that have music, so let's sound off!

I think that the deadline to sign up for this will be next Friday, February 28th, 2003 for this project, because we need to have a format so that we don't stray away from the focus.

So, anyone who wants in on this, post it here before next Friday, Feb. 28th. Then, at that point, we can see how many songs a piece that we can put on an 80 minute CD.

You are more than welcome to contribute a song to this project, Asiam! Not a cover song though, (because of legal reasons) so any funky original work of yours is cool! At least one is cool until we find out how many people are going to contribute!
