Transfering mp3 to wave file

Jason sent me some mp3 drum loops and I can't load them into cakewalk. sad

I have to convert them into wave files. Is there a free program out there for this?

Winamp will do this.

Options>Preferences>Output>Nullsoft Disk Writer Plugin

Make sure U change it back to what it was after U convert your song or it will try to convert every mp3 U play.

I hope that helps.

Musicmatch.com - converts wavs to mp3s, mp3s to wavs.

The interface is kinda screwy - you need to go under file, and there's an option "convert wav to mp3" and "convert mp3 to wav".

I don't know of any free programs, but I use Total Recorder for this task.

Also I know that Easy CD Creator will automatically convert mp3's into wav files when you are burning a cd. You might want to check the features of whatever cd burning program you use

I did a quick google search (convert mp3 to wav free) and you might want to try these sites and see if they really do offer free trials:

This one claims that the programs listed are freeware:

These two offer free trials:

You gotta go get their plugin first: Nullsoft Disk Writer Plugin, which I've heard is a bit buggy. Just warning ya.

Well, I think it worked! The beat slows down a little though, so I have to edit it and scoot it up little by little. Maybe I'll just make it fit the time. The wave file doesn't start right on the beat, so I had to trim the begining. But it did change it to a wave file.
