Hey everybody what's up,When I first wrote the song I had Prince in mind, that's what I do when I write all my song I have Prince in mind, but something about this just said it's Prince all the way and he should sing, I don't know if he would though. I just wrote Prince a song called Sensually
The chords are slow and jazzy, I thinking about sending it 2 him but didn't know exactly how 2 go about it, so I was wondering ... Does anybody know anything about sending demo tapes 2 pacfics artist...

I was thinking about creating my own website with my music and lyrics on it, but I want 2 write music for other people and not myself, does anybody have any advice about this ?

Begin laying out your website and the content and shop the link around.

There's lots and lots of people who write music for other people. Go check out sites like taxi.com - it costs A LOT ($250 a year or something like that) but they get your songs into the right hands, etc.

You can't just send songs unsolicited to artists - they will return them unopened, or risk a copyright infringement lawsuit. You need to contact somebody who will agree to listen to your song - whether it's somebody at NPGMC, WB, or whatever.

Good luck. Go check out some books on the subject - also there's TONS of sites about it.

well, Prince writes his own songs definitley for himself (and other people), and knowin him he aint gonna hear nuthin nobody tryin 2 say. But try anyway...get ur stuff out there and definitley some1 will like it, when and if it gets 2 Prince...he may make that call!

i have always Prince on my mind when i write lyrics or just poems as they r right now... it's a good way 2 get ur mind going and thoughts clear...

What U need 2 do is target publishing companies, (F U want 2 write 4 other artistz. Publishing companies buy Ure songz from U, N sell them 2 record labelz N producerz.

That iz how some writers get their foot N the industry door.
