The rain came down today

Skies were sodden and gray

Everyone seemed unhappy

But me...

For no apparent reason

I felt an inner peace

No, more than that

A sense of jubilation

As if the sky

Cried all of the tears

Dammed up inside

As if a great release

Freed me from

My outer existence

Put me

In harmony

With the natural world

And not the

Concrete jungle

In which I exist

Possibilities re-awaken

With every dawn that arises

Despite the stormy weather

Living in the moment

Is more than mere advice...

It is a promise.
