Hey, there are so many creative people here, what if Prince held a contest where the winner(s) got their art published, maybe not an album cover, but perhaps in the liner notes?

Have other artists done that sort of thing before?

I've thought up some ideas about it and would like to know what you think about how it would work out.

everyone who submits an entry could receive an honorable mention, something with purple glitter. So even if you just draw stick figures, you could have a little card to remind you that Prince acknowledged that you strove to be creative. Maybe you would have to pay like $7 per submission, to cover the costs of processing all the art -- would have to pay someone to screen out all the love letters and hate mail and who knows what that people might send in. And maybe there would be a limit to the number of pieces one person can send in. and maybe there wouldn't be a monetary prize, or just something nominal. mainly it would be about having your work celebrated.

then again, with prince it's about the music, and yet he has been very creative with packaging in the past. and this would be interactive without using the internet
