Well first I thought this could use a new thread but also, we need to get the ball rolling on this project. As i suggested, I'd be happy to offer my site as a host & means of communication for this project & am in the process of creating a page that will allow us to upload & download the necessary files.

I have many tunes & ideas for this project & support it all the way. Just gotta get it started is all

I don't know how we should go about collaborating - if we just start from scratch, this could take forever. maybe each person interested can bring a song to the table, and then we all throw our own thang onto each song (well, depending on how many people want to get in on this - last count, i thought there was 9).

That'd be 9 songs. I don't know what you want to do - but to just get the ball rolling, I think we should go ahead and start with a song or two that's already written and a demo, if not finished version of the song is somewhere for us all to hear and then start putting together our own ideas on it. But obviously, once that starts, we'll then need to pick one of those and start passing the files around to add our tracks, one at a time.

That said, what song do you want to do? I've heard some good stuff from lots of different people. And then folks listed their musical abilities, and it looked like MOST folks are multi-instrumentalists. That being the case, well, we gotta figure out who's going to do what, where.

Let's start with one of yours - give us two or three songs to sample, and lets either VOTE on one? or just PICK one? Or do you have a song that you think would work well in this situation?

I'm thinking, it'll be a monster extended remix, with 27 breaks and solos, etc, (think AMERICA 12-inch where EVERYBODY got a piece of that).

I've got some stuff - I've been in the studio tonight working on my next CD, but nothing's mixed down and online yet. Give me a couple of days. Give em a listen - maybe there's something in one of those to get the ball rolling? Obviously, it would be redone from the ground up.

I am just about ready to go on this. I have a song called "(We're gonna have some)Fun" that I am working on currently tonight that my son helped me with. I think it has some funkpotential, so this will be one of the songs for the Order. I also suggest that if we don't do the collaborations, that we could all do two 4 minute songs each for an extended CD- that would be 18 songs at 4 minutes each, a 72+ minute CD! This will be fon-kay!

On a more serious note, I have a few ideas strung together but I have a problem. I don't play drums and have no access to a drum machine. I was kind of hoping that one of U would kindly donate a drum track that I could put some guitar and bass on? Of course, it will be a case of shared credits. the type of beat I was looking for was an Erotic City/Everlasting Now beat if that makes any sense!
