Wind in rain

Drowned out by ocean crash

Ebb and flow

Zou Kai mounts

lands

Earth, wind, fire dismount

Zou Kai collects the metal

And the splash and roar

is but thunderous applause

once more.

If you know me you'll know I'm loathe to be negative or criticize anybody, but now I feel like I must say something. Some of the poetry in this forum is terrible, just absolutely dire and without any discernible merit whatsoever. Without provocative and dynamic poems like the one in this thread I'm really not sure I'd come here. Sometimes I cry.

Is that like Chinese Facebook? I bet it's interesting. Do they have a 'like' function?

Yes and no.

There's a "Approve" and a "Report to those who still support Chairman Mao" button.

Thank you very much.

I like to write from a place of positivity and love. It's what makes my poetry touch people, I think.

That's why I absolutely hate the other fucking poems in this forum.

It touches me. You touch me deep inside somewhere very special. I hope it's not a facade. Cuss words make you seem disingenuous and flippant and I think it's a shame if we take the importance of emotion and expression lightly. Sometimes I cry.

I don't mean to curse. It's just that venthing my emotions any other way is often awkward. I can't even cry during sex anymore without fear of abandonment.

That sounds like something for which you might benefit from some therapy, but certainly don't let anyone tell you it's not normal. It is normal. It flipping IS! My scout troop leader taught me many things, and one was when to let out your emotions, just let them all come out, and when to push them down and keep them quiet, to protect them from people who might not understand. Don't feel awkward, it's natural. Like bobbing for apples or other such seemingly merry, carefree games, sometimes the things you do during sex are like metaphors for something deeper. Bobbing for apples was a bit strange though, on reflection. Sometimes I cry.

This poem has a flair or something like, 'they scream when they stick it in and cry when they take it out' kind of feeling.popcorn

Well, sex isn't bad these days I guess. I haven't found sex this intriguing since I was in the boy scouts. The problem for me is that one can't really write a poem about sex without it involviing genitelia these days. I've tried and failed.

Gone are the days I could talk about entering through the backdoor, and meaning literally that it was the backdoor of the bedroom.

It even ruins spiritual poetry. One can't say the Romans siezed Jesus throught he backdoor and he was nailed hard and hung before an audience without folks turning south on you that way.

For shame. Jesus weeps.

this might be a bit off topic but bobbing for apples should make people cry. first of all, you're bobbing around for apples in a spit-filled bucket. other people drooled on those apples before you and saliva ain't fun when you get it like that. for another thing, each time the water in the bucket closes over your nose and mouth it's like drowning just a little bit. scary. not fun. so, there are probably tears mixed in with the spit in that bucket. just my 2c.

ps. nice poem
