For those of you who'd like to try setting up your own promo app (streaming, news, shop links, social media integration etc) it might be interesting to look beyond Mobile Roadie, AppMakr and others.

Songpier is now avaiable entirely free.

For all you nerds: since it's a web app based on HTML5, it runs on iOS and Android out of the box. Looks marvellous on iPad too.

Though, it's for free and it's a good opportunity for any indie artist on a low budget to get their content mobile. With full control of content on the artist's side.
