Favorite fake books or other sources for lead sheets?

Hi, all -

Wondering if anyone can recommend some good fake books which include "contemporary" material, or if there are any other sources (websites, forums, etc) which you use? So many of the big publisher's fake books are geared toward jazz standards and super recognizable pop hits... I'm looking for sources of lead sheets for what I suppose would be more esoteric song choices.

I'm a singer and work with a piano player who can pick up tunes incredibly well by ear, but would love to find some existing sources. The tunes we're doing are pop/jazz songs by people like Elvis Costello, Rufus Wainwright, Rickie Lee Jones, Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen, etc. You'll sometimes find their songs published in the fake book form, but it's not typical.

I rely a lot on musicnotes.com, but usually that's overkill for what we're doing, reinterpreting songs in a "quasi-cabaret" style -- basically stripped down versions with focus on the lyrics and lots of room for improv.

Any suggestions?

thanks

kevin
