What Artistic Skill(s) Do You Have?

What artistic skill(s) do you have? such as: writing, painting, sculpting, dancing, drawing, graphic arts, decorating, cooking, e.t.c.

I like to write. I want to be an author in the future. I used to be good at drawing in grade school. I am a writer and a musician/singer in progress.

I knew I had a skill for writing when I got in trouble for writing in the 4th grade. I got sent to the principal's office because I wrote: " I Pledge Allegiance To The Flag, is'nt Ann a Bag of Crap?" I did not get in any major trouble. They called my mother in the principal's office with me. They just told me to not do that again. The people who worked in the office were laughing when they read my note. I think it's funny. I am a bit of a critic now too.

I also used to draw people that I knew in a comical way.

I'm pretty good at writing. I can remember winning the "Young Author's" contest back in elementary school. Since then, I was just obsessive about writing, especially in my journal. In high school, my creative writing teacher was really pushing me to go for a career in writing, which I did not do.

Along the years, I won a few other things for writing. One was a "what does Prince's music mean to you," writing contest. It was back when 3121 came out. I won a bunch of 3121 stuff. Recently, I was one of 15 winners from Panera for a "what baking is to me" essay contest.

Currently, I'm passionate about garden design. I just feel I have an eye for it. I re-do my gardens every spring. I'm soooo looking forward to a break in this crappy Michigan weather!

I write for a living. In my spare time, I act (which sometimes includes singing and dancing), sew and cook.

I think I'm a funny writer. I love to write, and at least I make myself laugh.

I'm a pretty good musician and a very good entertainer.

I cannot draw a lick. I can only wish I was as good with a pencil as novabrkr.

I mostly paint and write.

I went to college (didn't finish boxed) for acting and playwriting, but haven't done those two things in a while, unless you count acting a fool to entertain myself make my friends laugh. tease

I've always loved to draw, write and sing. In high school I've started to feel an urge to dance that became particularly strong. I also did a lot of acting in elementary school. Sometimes I think I should have invested/be investing more time and energy into some of those things. Hopefully, it's never too late.

I wish I still had the two framed pictures that I had drawn and had hanging on my walls but when I moved last year, the glass in the frames broke and ripped the pictures so I threw them away.

I had done two sketches and then I went over them with pen and ink so they would show up dark enough to been seen on a wall. I can't paint worth a damn so I figured pen and ink was the way to go. Y'all know the kind....the pen with the different size points that you dip into ink.

Anyway, I did one of them from Vanity from the cover of the "Drive Me Wild" 12 Inch. So that no one would know it was Vanity, I made her titties bigger and I put some big Tina Turner hair on her. But the pose and outfit was Vanity. The other one I did from looking at a lady in a "Fredrick's Of Hollywood" catalog. She was in a patten leather teddy that had lots of chains on it. I also put a hat on her head. I put in Prince's "1999" video and the hat I put on her head was the one that Jill Jones was wearing that looked like a policeman's hat.

Yeah honey, I used to have whores hanging on my walls dammitt! I've always loved some whores. My mother always said she was glad I wasn't born a girl because I would have grown up to be a whore. Well hell, I still did. lol I remember in high school, when my regular art teacher went out on leave because she was pregnant, our substitute art teacher was an old woman in her 60s that looked like a damn gypsy. My regular art teacher was used to me but when I turned in one of my whore drawings, that damn gypsy woman told me to draw something else because she considered it "obscene". lol

No, drinking does not. What did you like to do when you were a kid? In fact, if you pursue an artistic hobby then maybe you will not drink. When people drink they are trying to avoid emotional pain.
