Are there alternatives to myspace??

Don't you guys miss the old myspace where you could

promote your own music and discover other musicians and interact?

It seems most people have abandoned myspace. It's not like it used to be,

and the new version sucks. It's way to slow and it's just hard to find new music

and promote your own work.

Does anybody know if there are good alternatives to what myspace used to be?

Are there any good places on the net to meet other funkateers and groovy musicians?

youtube is the new place. Other than that I know alot of people is using soundcloud. But when it comes to presenting the music in a visual way, get a fanpage on facebook, and add the application bandpage. With bandpage, you can both upload and refer to youtube videos directly with a playlist. It will all play on a list that you create.

btw, cool to know that you're from sweden. I checked out some of your tunes, and found out that you're making some funky electronic music, as well as playing in a punk/new wave inspired band. That sounds really cool. I'm from Norway btw.

Yeah I used to do that, but because myspace got so crowded with ads it just got out of control.

Mixtape it, Facebook it, youtube it. Thats the best way to go about.
