Dunlop CryBaby. I used Vox, Ibanez (I was young ok?) and the Jimi Hendrix wah and like this one best by far.
Oh edit: I used Morley too. Still like ythis one best. [This message was edited Wed Feb 5 7:56:38 PST 2003 by hectim]

I've played cry babies for years. Why do you prefer the Morley, and why are you mistaken in thinking that it's the obvious choice? When, OBVIOUSLY, the Cry Baby is the greatest wah on the planet, hands down. Or, uhh, does Prince use a Morley? Sounds like a cry baby to me. What do I know... Okay let me tell ya'll bout some tears runin' cryn' ass wahz'
1st off The Jimi Hendrix wah is bull...He actually used a Vox wah but dunlop has the rights 2 his name 2nd Pranz uses an old optic style color sound wah the red one !!! I've never liked the dunlop wahs there not very dependable & they aint got enough sweep 2 em' the morley wahs are similar to the color sound wah in the fact that they're optic I think sly & suger foot used them older chrome versions there is a great wah pedal called "clyde" made by a co. called full tone which sounds like the vintage vox wahs this pedal is like the rolls royce of wahs so be prepared 2 shell out some serious coins for this 1 personaly I also use the red color sound wah it's got a huge sweeping range to it if ya dig okay bye

has anyone tried the Danelectro Dan O Wah? i know, danelectro, but still, it sounded pretty good on the Musician's Friend website. There's 6 wah types to choose from and it sounded as good as a dunlop to me. then again, without trying them out side by side, hard to say.

Well there you have it. The type of wah you use really depends on the rest of your set up. If I use one with a large sweep on my tele's bridge p/u, I get a LOT of very ugly feedback.
I also use the red color sound wah it's got a huge sweeping range to it if ya dig
okay bye | |

okay bye Yeah, but, come on -- if you just USE your tele's bridge pickup, you're likely to get some ugly feedback... I've never heard a more tinny/nasal pickup. Love the mid position, love the neck pickup, but JUST the bridge pickup? - eesh. The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

Bear in mind that i need a pretty shrill tone in my band to cut through two saxophones and a hammond!

I have the Hendrix wah and the lo frequency is just SICK
and it seems to add some wild gain too, which I love but indeed, the Dunlops get unbearably squeaky as the pots go to hell - pain in the ass
