personally, i would love one. Although i play guitar, the technical side of the instrument has never really interested me. As a result, my knowledge of the cloud guitar is extremely minimal. i know it looks great but is it worth the price tag? does it sound good? is it the same set up as princes? insinct tells me that 'no' is the answer for my last question. You do as I say

Cant believe how expensive it is though. Its a nice guitar but is hardly a decent Fender or Gibson.

They really should give more detailed info. "Suitable for playing'? I might hope so! Anyway, I think the typical Cloud sound is due to the all maple, neck-through body, short scale design (effectively making it a cross between Prince's tele and a les Paul) and the EMG pickups. We know this guitar has a set neck, but what about the wood and the electronics? Also, the neck looks a little chunky, don't you think?
Would I play it on stage? It could hardly look sillier than my Blue Flower tele tim howcomeudontcallme said: personally, i would love one. i'm not a great guitar player at all, but i have bought the cloud mainly because i love the looks of it, and if i ever quit playing, it'll look good on my wall
i have a mexican build fender strat and a les paul studio, and of all three guitars, i like playing on the cloud most .. a friend of mine, who is a great guitar player, come over one day to check it out and he says it's a good guitar, the only comment he had was that on his Steve Vai guitar, the high end of the neck was smoother .. oh .. the pickups are Duncan Designed humbuckers .. no idea about the wood though [This message was edited Mon Jan 27 9:54:03 PST 2003 by DJLeFreak] -- love 4 one another is the only way --

I've noticed that the guitars on the site seem to have maple fingerboards, but I've seen old replica's with rosewood fingerboards (which seemed absurd to me because it's not orginal AND more expensive) Can anyone confirm this?
