Also, Mint Condition was on WCCO TV here in the Twin Cities and they're headlining the Black Music Awards show here in Minneapolis this week. OMG....Last night we played a gig at Bunkers in Minneapolis and Jellybean Johnson was there. He really liked us! He's been very supportive of the local music scene. I chatted with him for a bit regarding The Time reunion concert and how they tore up Epic in Minneapolis.

Press is good! This comes from our state's 2nd largest daily publication! Local funk band Soulacious took no chances when it came to recording its new EP, "For the Love of Music." The half-dozen songs run the gamut of all things R&B, from Kanye West-style hip-hop to Sharon Jones-esque retro soul. It's slick, commercial stuff that sacrifices innovation for an endless groove. Soulacious plays a CD-release show tonight at the Fine Line with Slow Spokes, the Kredentials and Hustle Rose Band and then hits the Twin Cities Pride Festival at 1 p.m. Sunday.
