Poetry Inspired By Prince--OK Don't Hate! All right, I know this is the org and I'm going to open myself up to all kinds of ridicule and otherwise! So what! Here is a poem that I was inspired to write, not my best, but not my worst, by listening to the Come album. What poems, good or bad, have you been inspired to write by P's music? Or anti-poetry, for you haters?! Here is mine (quake & shiver):
NO MORE When you call to me I want to come... I want to do All the things I’m no longer meant to do When I hear your music Call to me I want to dance And sing!and do All the things I’m no longer Supposed to do When I hear your voice I want to scream And let go of All the things I’m not supposed to do I’m not supposed to go... But I want to follow All the way to the end Open-ended, that’s the way It was supposed to be Self-deceiving alter-ego Pied-piper playing tunes I no longer want to hear Lead me to the brink I will leap the divide Cutting to the quick Because he can’t decide... But now I’m done! When I hear your voice Saying "Come..." I know I will follow.    | |

I wouldn't say an album has inspired me to write a poem, but I liked yours and I'm willing to write a quick poem for Prince, using some song names for fun. It's fictional ok?
Hearing you live in concert is energising my dear So I let my computer bring me, the best jam of the year Now I may not be the one U wanna see I feel for you, but I won't create controversy I'll just letitgo and walk into the light Accepting the dark and this space as my plight I'll take it solo and forget the gold I'll feel better with time and grow gracefully old But as I grow, will you bathe me in cream Adding love like jazz to accent my dreams So as I move forward to climb those mountains ahead I"ll remember I needed another lover like the hole in my head  "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life - | |
