Young artist in need of some help???

Ok, here it goes. I think my job is ruining my musical process.

I been creating music for about 4 to 5 years. Before I had a stable job, like when I was in school, I could create some music just like that. Since I had this job, I created maybe three or four tracks, it's like I'm having major brain farts. A few weeks back, I went into my studio, tried to lay a track down, and couldn't finish ... it was a sad sight. lol

I wake up at 6 AM, leave about 6:45 to get to work for 8. Work is over at 5 PM and I get to the crib around 6:15. So, man, when I get home, it's like I have know time for nothin' now ... what should a young brotha do?

I have songs written but nothing recorded. Maybe you can come up with something like the melodies and stuff

i feel you. when i was younger with little responsibilities i would write and record everyday. now that i am older with more responsibilities it is hard. you have to sacrifice your time. some weekends i will do nothing but record. everyone knows not to bother me. sometimes i will take time off from work and just record. sometimes i might sacrifice sleep if the inspiration hits me and stay up late. you gotta do whatever you gotta do. sacrifice is the word.

You've found time to get on here...then you can find time to work on tracks..What I'm saying is,make the most of your free time..no matter how little it may be.I have a very busy schedule and the days of making one complete track, let alone 4-5 a session are rare.Work on one...save it and finish later.Dont rush and sacrifice quality for quantity.

Im in the same plane. Do it on the weekend or only make a tune a month or a week papi. You need lots of time and concentration to make a hot tune.

I took the plunge and gave up a well-paid day-job about 4 years ago now and never looked back! Okay, I don't earn as much as I used to, but I'm a damn sight happier! As someone said, its about sacrifice!
