Hi All,

A number of people are putting together a benefit in honor of a courageous little boy Connor Tucker. He would have been 4 on November 3. Connor was born with a heart defect and was in the hostpial waiting to receive a heart transplant. Unfortunately, on Sunday October 18, Connor went into cardiac arrest and passed away.

Well we are moving forward with his benefit and I have been able able to get a local Minnesota band to donate their services and play at the benefit. However there is one catch. I need a sound system and an engineer. I'm reaching out to the Prince fams to see if anyone can assist me. This band is a favorite of Connor's mother and it would mean a lot to her if they are able to play at his benefit.

We want to make Connor’s benefit a special time to celebrate his short life, extreme bravery and his silliness. Not only will this benefit be a celebration of Connor’s life, but also assist his parents who are now in extreme financial crisis due to his medical expenses. I’ve included a news paper article about his story; you may have seen his story on KSTP news.

St. Paul 4-Year-Old Waits for New Heart

A 4-year-old from St. Paul died before doctors could perform surgery to give him a new mechanical heart.

Connor Tucker was born with a heart defect that left one side of his heart smaller than it should be.

He underwent three open heart surgeries including one in September to replace his pacemaker.

After that surgery he went into heart failure.

Doctors sedated Tucker. They planned to install a mechanical heart until a donor heart became available, but they needed to wait until his heart got stronger to implant the device.

But Tucker didn't make it. He died Sunday.

Tucker's parents did have health insurance, but they reached their maximum coverage early in his illness.

Friends have organized a benefit to help his family pay medical bills.

The benefit will be held Nov. 7 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. At Casa Vieja, 2176 West 7th Street, St. Paul, MN, 55116.
