Hi Everyone!

wow!! i wasn't aware that i was on the front page until i got a call from Scarlet. I just wanted to say thanks to the Mods for giving me the honors of such attention. And a special thanks to RhodeoSchro for making the request. I have been on the road now for 5 weeks and a day. It has been an amazing experience so far and i am glad that there are more people i can share this with now.

i am at a library in Versallies, IN and my time is limited. I wanted to put up some videos but only had a chance to load one onto Youtube...

his name is Dede. He is 61 years old. Has a masters in Education, served in the US military for over 15 years and survived cancer. He just found out that he had a brain tumor and there was nothing they could do about it. So he pack up his gear and hit the road. This guy is truely inspirational. I met him while in Cincinati, he was hitch hicking to Nashville because he had a gig there.

Hi everyone...

so i have made it to Olney, Il. the past couple of days have been great. the weather is in the high 60's low 70's. the best walking weather ever. i camped out in a place called Red Hill State Park last night and it was beautiful. I am walking anywhere between 30-40 miles a day depending on the weather and how early i start. I usually state at about 8 in the morning and walking until about 6pm. Just before it gets dark. I have met some really amazing people along the way. Some of them are going to be my friends for a long time. omg!! i just saw a white squirrel... I will try and get a photo of it.

i like the camping part of this trip. the skies i have seen are just incredible. so many stars you wouldn't believe. Last night i counted about 3 shooting stars. It was so clear last night that i could see satalittes. (sorry my spelling is off) i just walked 14 miles and found this library. I need some food before my brain can functions properly. i am uploading some video and some photos as i am writing this so hopefully i can show them to you before my time is up at this library.

I have been having some strange dreams lately. Every night i sleep for about 2 hours have a really intense dream wake up, go back to sleep and repeat the process all through out the night. I am usually in bed by 8:30 or 9pm and i sleep until about 7. so thats alot of dreams.

I sometimes stay in a motel. Yeah because sometime i just don't feel like sleeping outdoors, or i can't find a campsite, or the weather is bad. I don't go to sleep until about 12 or 1am and i wake up at around 10. i love to sleep in and the beds are so nice. I love sleeping on a bed. Its a luxury for me right now. usually i am bundled up in my sleeping bag and covered up with my coat. no complaints though it is what it is.

i have not had any real problems on the road with people with the exception of every now and then someone will throw something at me from there car as they pass by and once i had this dude follow me down the road in a truck and when he pulled up next to me he asked me if i wanted to "hook up with him". i didn't.

i am learning alot and i can't wait untill i have enough time to share it with you. until then i will keep u updated via HRH Gregory Alive @ The DownLoad Society. thanks again for the support and again... www.facebook.com/dreamfirstborn i where i make updates the fastest, because i can access it on my phone. Good luck on your journey, it sounds really exciting, and you inspiring me to walk the length of New Zealand (2000km north to south), its great when you go by foot. 40 miles a day is amazing. Are you keep a running tally of how many miles you walked in total, that would be interesting.
