Hey, BigThing. I just heard tracks 1-3, then got busy with work. Do you play any real instruments or just samples and sequencers? Number 3 had my attention the most of the three I heard. Just my $0.02...

We play bass/guitar/percussion/violin/piano. and mostly use drumcomputers for the beats.

Oooohhh. This is really cool. I'm listening to Radical right now. I dig the baseline. All the keyboard stuff is cool too. You know what? This could be some groovy movie score music. I hear a little Nine Inch Nails influence.
Is Big Thing the name of your band??? Are you Dokk? I'm confused about all the names on the page. Big Thing is a title of a Duran Duran album. Do you like them?

Now Heaven is on. This is really good too. Comes right at ya full force with the drum beat at the beginning. I really dig the rhythm track. A very good combo of synths and guitar, another Duran Duran similarity. Hope that doesn't offend you, I think Duran is great. They were the first band to inspire me to do music. I really like the guitar solo on this one. What are you using for the drumbeats?


Mr. Happy Camper starts out very Prince-like, ala SOTT era. Then it goes another direction. I like that it does that, but it doesn't hold my attention after 3 minutes.

Bluey I like this. Nice groove. I dig the guitar and the drum track.

Mission to Venus I really dig the keyboards on this one and the guitar solo that comes in is like Alexa De Paris. What keyboards are you using? This is really ethereal. Very cool.

I really like Light Picture too. Nice strings and piano. The vocal is mix of Lenny Kravitz and Prince. Wow, this is great.

thanx for taking the time to write some nice words about the music. as for the name confusion i can understand that.

My (nick) name is indeed dokk, as you can see the site page is divided into three tables. the first one is my collaboration with T.O. , the middle one is (my own) solo work and the right one is my collaboration with "O" (both good friends)

So it's really just three people in total.

The whole thing is called BigThing as that is originally one of the first songs written with T.O. i thought is was just a cool name.
