I think it has something to do with the acoustic echo thing you decided on but all the notes all feel kind of muddled together instead of distinct and purposeful. Like, instead of each note sounding intentional, the melody sounded sort of intentional but the echoing is designed to cover up random meanderings?

All in all though, there is some good stuff going in this song, and thank you for sharing! It sounds better than what I could do so please take my input with a grain of salt.
