Long time lurker, first time poster on these boards. I've really enjoyed some of the stuff that's been posted over the last few months!

I've been working on a pretty straight up funk album for the last couple of years and feeling ready to put the results out there. Here's one tune

You should have seen my face when it came on my headphones just in the first thirty seconds....I ran into the back room and started dancing vigirously....didnt even care abotu the lyrics and stuff until the 3rd listen but by that time I was sweating. I love this tune yo! I wish I was in the same room when you made it. The thing about it is that I have the same similar type of sound that you have and that's why I like it so much. I actually hope to hear more form you in the future yo!

Thank you all for your kind responces to this. Believe me, it's really appreciated right now. Really happy that you enjoy it.

The album is about 5 months from completion. It needs some key and vocal overdubs then needs mixing and mastering and we're away! I've been up and down with it to be honest, some days love it, some days it sounds rough - so those comments are exactly the kick up the butt I need right now.

Obsessed - I totally agree with you regarding the vocals. I originally actually wanted them to float in and out of the tune, but agree now that they need to be fatter. I'll definitely re-record them and put some harmonies in there too.

If anyone is still interested here are a couple of songs that are near complete. I've posted two of the more experimental tunes that I'm not quite sure about yet.

Both are still in production but due to be finished by the end of April. Would be good to hear any opinions.

Also - really interested in hearing some of your tunes but can't listen on myspace etc, can only download mp3s onto my player. If anyone could send me some then I'd love to hear it.

Hi Everyone!
Thank you all for showing some interest in what I'm up to. Sorry that the music hasn't been easy to access!. I don't get much time to deal with net issues at the moment.

On the advice of the great PaisleyPark below I've made a very brief soundclick page to house 3 songs

All final mixes, overdubs and vocals are being completed across the summer, so the album will be done and dusted by September and the first released are coming out in November. Exciting stuff for me..hopefully for you too.
