Music is continual on-the-job training for me in that respect, so I understand where you're coming from - the only thing I can say is - don't be afraid to take liberties, as long as, to quote Prince, you "play what makes you feel good." For my compositions, two very key things for me are layering and unconventional use of plug-ins. | |
