I'd rather use positive thinking rather than wishful thinking...
but maybe they're one and the same?

Crafty or crafty?
They could both be arts in a way,
but I don't see either being related to a wish lol

I think it's in the wording.

And in my opinion you can't compare the two.
Positive thinking requires continuous thought.
It can help to make an immediate wish come faster.
A wish is something you think,..then let go of.
And when someone says ,"that's wishful thinking",it usually comes across as negative.

My nephew(he was 6) once asked me,"what's the difference between a wish and a prayer"?.
I asked him, what he thought.
His reply.
"I pray, if I really need something". lol

Good explanation....however, I have to give some thought to whether
positive thinking actually makes a wish come faster...or if indeed
positive thinking is even always related to a wish.

Children...I love the fact that they can come up with answers so quickly
and get right to the point lol Adults tend to overthink sometimes.

wishes ago

Where are the pebbles you promised to throw,
at my sheltered
sleeping window
to wish me goodmorning?
Instead it's good mourning
for you didn't show.

Dreams of dreams of truth filled my night
and filling my nocturned sight
were visions of you
as you threw
pebbles to say it's all right.

I lay waiting in bed
still as the dead,
listening for strains
of pebbles on panes
but hearing your silence instead.

Hearing no tinkles of pebbles upon
the window,and dawn
being long past
I got up at last
and looked at the lawn.

Dandelions spattered and spangled the ground
spots of yellow all around
the field of unworried green
I asked if they'd seen you,
and they answered without sound.

There was nothing else to do,
but wipe away a tear or two.
I pushed my troubles away
having nothing to say.
And no one to say it to.

I swallowed my sighs, shouldered my cares.
I went down the stairs,
I passed in the hall
And that was all.
