facebook to own all your stuff?

I know theres been some kinds u-turn but does the recent facebook announcement that tey basically have the rights to all your posted art, videos, photos, writings etc worry you at all?

Im just wondering how many on-line artists are gonna stop sharing because of this threat to copyright material and privacy.

I bet Prince woulda gone nuts over that! or maybe he saw it all coming?

Due to the uproar they have reversed that decision. No worries.

I think they woulda had one HELL of a lawsuit on their hands, possibly on a corporate level - but on a peer level, that's downright THEFT!

I know they have claimed that was not really their intention, but given the way artists currently freely share their work, do you as fellow artists think its time to be less free and start to worry more about copyright?

like prince has already done, is it time to see the corporate on-line giants for what they are, wolves in sheeps clothing?

Do you think artists should be more careful and perhaps form alliances in order to showcase their work instead of relying on sites like facebook and my-space?

Has the urge to be noticed in the music world blinkered artists and affected their judgement when using sites like myspace - only to be gobbled up in the future and spat out with nothing?
