I only today have access again to the forum; the scene that I filmed is last in the beach of the figueira da Foz, in Portugal; the woman sings a music about the SAUDADE, that spirit that doesn't have more translation in another language, but that can be equivalent to the sense of the memory and of the pain, of the impossibility of having again... is a larger sense than the memory, because reflects the absence, not in a rational sense:it is the suffering of the perch.
The clip still wants to refer the ephemeral, translated in the woman's act that without sense probe to sweep the sand of the beach;impossible work , endless and absurd...transposed for the symbolic, the effort of who wants to work at this Country acts; place of strong cultural traditions, squeezed by the brutal power of the bureaucratic machine, today impossibility of accomplishment of an initial purpose, which has a fantastic history, a singular place in the world, but that didn't know, or it is not able to for the rulers' responsibility, to pick the convoy of the competence.
All are gotten tired from sweeping, of so much work for anything, of so much effort for the change to be done; all got sick, out of print for the fight, but as the old woman, we continued want to work, singing SAUDADE, struggling against the death and against the impossibilities; making pauses and placing the look in the sea. And we know that we have to continue to act in the small things as if everyone had the eyes put in us, with the taste of doing for doing, singing.
