QUEEN OF THE REVOLUTION

Queen of the Revolution
(Jamie Starr)

Met a Queen named Jamie: she use to have a band.
She played a lot of places all throughout the land.
When Jamie's Starr was shining I was her biggest fan.
Now most of all I want 2 be her only man.
(chorus) Jamie was a Starr; She really was the best!
Everybody loved her from the East Coast to the West.
Jamie was a Starr and Starrz come out @ night
But when the night is over The Son's The Only Light!!
First TIME that I saw her was on the cover of Rolling Stone
The Queen of the Revolution sitting on her throne.
They said she was a Starr and she played a mean guitar
But I could see inside her eyes she was really all alone.
(repeat 1st chorus)
I saw her this past weekend @ her father's gas n' lube.
Lookin' like a Superstarr w/ a clip on U-Tube.
I said,"excuse me don't I know U ? I've seen your face before."
She said," I use to have a little band but I don't play that scene anymore."
(2nd chorus) Jamie U'r a Starr; U really are the best!
Everybody loves U from the East Coast 2 the West.
Jamie U'r a Starr and Starrz come out @ night
But when the night is over The Son's the Only Light!!
So if U'r out ther Jamie, listen 2 me good.
2 me U'r always brighter than the starrz in Hollywood.
(repeat 2nd chorus)

I hope that all you Purple fans like this. It was inspired by a Starr named Jamie from Como,Ms.We let Mr.Eddie Willis (from The Funk Brothers)hear it and he said he could hear the Minneapolis flavor in it.Whenever we hear back from Mr.Bob Babbitt(the bass player from The Funk Brothers) regarding the studio in Nashville,we have an excellent project that includes this song that we're gonna put together. The DREAMTEAM is comprised of The Funk Brothers and a couple of Jazz musicians who happen to be local band directors here in Holly Springs Ms.We also have a couple Blues songs that we've worked on with the sons of Mr.R.L.Burnside and Mr.Junior Kimbrough who are the architects of the North Mississippi Hill Country Blues. We're gonna post it here because we think this is an excellent venue to pay homage to one of the Greatest Artists of our lifetime,Mr.Prince Rogers Nelson!! PEACE and BLESSINGS,bridge
