If you want lyrics how about you click on the link where it clearly tells you its for lyrics. Then you might get some lyrics. The clue lies in the words "To read my lyrics".

Right, lets have some serious replies, with some actual constructive criticism, rather than tactless, vague comments that achieve nothing.

Am i overreacting? Possibly, but that post was a bit silly, on more than one level.

You only get feedback when you get it? Oh good, because i have some feedback for you. It goes like this :


- When someone posts 2 links, one for music and one for lyrics, go to both, then youll be in a position to comment on both. If you have trouble, politely tell them.

- When you arent able to access more than 1 piece of music on someones website, ask them to show you how to access the others, or try to figure it out, otherwise youre not in a position to comment on that persons music other than that 1 piece.

- When you give criticism, and you 1) Dont elaborate, and 2) you make it sound like an insult, the other person will 1) not learn anything about how their music comes across, and 2) insult you back, and rightly so.

- The world doesnt revolve around what you want to hear. People post what they have, and if you want to hear them sing and theres no singing, well thats just too bad. I wasnt thinking of you when i posted it. I was asking for comments on what exists, not on what doesnt.

- Insulting people and then implying that they cant take criticism is the sign of someone with no manners and who thinks they know it all. Most people can take criticism, what they dont want to hear is insults. They benefit no one except those who get a kick out of dishing them out.

- Your mistake is in automatically asuming that i or other musicians cant take criticism. Thats like an obnoxious person walking into a room and sulking when no one gets their offensive jokes.


Heres how you should have done it :


- You go to both websites, and listen to more than 1 piece of music, and read a few songs. Sorry but i dont often sing. Thats my business.

- You say whats good about it, and you say whats not good about it.

- You constructively explain each of your points. Unless of course you prefer being an asshole, masquerading under the banner of "consumerist angle".


Dont feel the need to return the favour, this advice was a freebie. And in future, since you have a philosophy of only giving feedback when you get it, why dont you stick to that.
