She Cries She cries at night Silent screams held captive within her, yet the world cannot feel her pain Her soul broken Her body bruised She cries for strength and self-love and wonders how they failed to protect her against her abuser, who succeeded in degrading her self-worth and confidence in ways unimaginable. She realizes that nothing will change, and help will not arrive at her door, unless she welcomes it into her life. She cries silently, knowing her soul will never know peace, nor will her body be left unbruised, until she finds the courage to free herself from the abusive force that dominates her She cries knowing that all it takes is one ounce of courage and will power, to heal her broken spirit, release her screams, and free her soul from a life of abuse But, as she ponders, she knows today will be different than the days before and the nights ahead, because on this day, she has found the courage and will power, to release her silent screams of anguish and pain And the world will see her cry, and the world will hear her scream, and the world will feel her pain And as the tears pour slowly down her face, like a stream flowing into a river of freedom, she knows, that her soul will finally know “peace.” Copyright 2008 (ch) 2elijah (Dedicated to "L" and all the women in the world who suffer(ed) from abuse) [Edited 10/2/08 17:28pm]

But, as she ponders, she knows today will
be different than the days before and the nights ahead, because on this day, she has found the courage and will power, to release her silent screams of anguish and pain Wow, 2elijah...this really spoke to me. Took me back to when I found the courage to leave my abusive husband. Thank you. Also reminded me of a beautiful song by Sananda... If you're not good to yourself (go on and let your scream out)
You'll be drowned out by your inner scream (go on and let your scream out) If you're not good to yourself (go on and let your scream out) Then your anger becomes a disease If you're not good to yourself To yourself, to yourself, self, self Go on and let your scream out "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack
