Lookin' to record vocals?

OK people, I have software called REASON, where you create your own tracks. I got that part down to a "T", now I'm ready to record vocals. The problem is, REASON doesn't let you record vocal.

So, what's the best software/recorder were I can record vocals onto my reasons productions? Nothing over $1000, thanks.

To be honest Reason is not the best as the sound quality totally sucks, Reason is more entry level and I would not use to produce something, and is not suited to record vocals.

You should use Cubase, Cubase uses vst instruments and also you can get so many plugins for effects and you can record vocals straight in and use as audio and chop them and use them as you wish and eq them with plugins etc.

Cubase is your way forward, you probably can with Reason but like I said the quality sucks and also the capabilities are so limited with Reason. It's like a toy application rather than for serious music making.

Garage Band has served me well for recording my vocals. It all depends on how you work with plug-ins, and if you are creative enough, you can take your vocals anywhere you want.

Cool, well I just picked up Pro-Tools Mbox 2. Only problem now is I can't hook/set-it up. It keep saying I don't have the right software.

I might give Cubase and Garage Band a try in the near future.
