THE SOULS OF MANY

The souls of many
are filled with hate
and the true actions
of their souls reveal prejudice,
deceit, envy and arrogance
leaving no room for a heart
to embrace compassion or love, as they
trample upon others with words of condemnation
behind the ignorance of their own fears.

Their egos are masked with false beliefs
of chosen human privileges graced
with a silver lining, which does not
exist in humanity

The souls and minds
of those ingrained with
hatred and prejudice
will not change until
they look in the mirror,
and beyond their egos
only to see a reflection of self
and realize that they are no different
than the very people they denigrate.
