Free recording software

Are there any FREE recording programs. I don't wanna spend $300-$500 on Adobe or Cakewalk...
Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

Give Audacity or Kristal a try.

Ardour is good too, but for Linux or Mac only.

I tried audacity and it didn't have reverb and Krystal just plain sucked. Anything else. I may go with the Adobe demo if it has reverb, allows you to import and save as MP3.....
