I was scanning my digital music files and came across the classic New Funk Order collections. In remembrance, I thought of how unified the artist community forum once was. I personally don't think that the unity is gone, but it seems as if there is a bit more isolation within the community here (as opposed to the yesteryear). Forgive me if I'm living in the past, but is there any hope for a new revolution for us artists to come together and help each other move forward? Any ideas on how I can help you, we can help each other get our art the exposure and appreciation it deserves? Sure we post a song or two, get great feedback and all is well. But what's beyond the Org, Soundclick, or Acidplanet? What's the next step? Is there anyway we can collectively start a movement to help each other get exposure? We have a home here (musical and visual artists alike), lets simultaneously work on a strategy to unify our online communities. Mods feel free to help me get the word out. Or if there is anything Prince.org as a company can do specifically to help out your starving artists it would be greatly appreciated. Just posing a few questions... food for thought. Good idea, bad idea. Let me know what you think either way. Not sure why I can't add a comment to the sticky but I was thinking about this question and how this Artist Community used to be and like the original poster, I kind of miss it. It seems that people just show up and dump their stuff and leave. No interaction, no follow-up when someone asks how they recorded or has a question. Some people come here just to post random things that have nothing to do with music or art. My favorite are the trolls who want to criticize just to criticize without knowing what they're talking about. My suggestion, and I'm not sure how difficult it would be, is to organize this community into writers, musicians, knowledge sharing, song critiques and illustrators/digital art. Maybe it could be as simple as Visual/Audio/Interactive sections, I don't know, just thinking out loud. The idea of knowledge sharing seemed cool for all of the people who come here looking for help in their art or the need to learn something too. As one of the people that have been around here for a while, I'd like to see this forum come back to the community it was. Constructive criticism to help artists make their work better while hearing music from people who were really cool people and grew right in front of your own eyes. Anybody else feelin me on this?  i do agree! | |

WHERE ARE THE REST OF YOU? Im here man. I just cant never listen to anything because my computer is SHOT and so I have to do everything from work. I feel bad for not listening to other peoples work or seeing anything new. I made the 'review' post a while ago but it fell off after my computer caught a virsu.
