Nothing I string together sounds right. Any suggestions? Thanks.

sorry, if I was home near my piano I could've helped. if no one knows, I'll post it in a couple of days, when I find them out.

Sounds to me as if it's centred around Amaj and Emaj with F#min and Emaj. What makes it interesting is that the melody line is predominantly B on the A maj chord and A in the Emaj chord.

I mucked around on the piano and this is what I came up with (I think it sounds pretty close but I don't know the guitar positionings if you're a guitarist)

All chords are for 1 measure:

Verse / Chorus:
Amaj ; Emaj 1st inversion (with Gsharp bass) ; F#min7 ; Emaj

Bridge:
Dmaj9 ; Emaj 1st inversion (with C sharp bass) ; Dmaj9 ; Emaj 1st inversion (with C sharp bass) ; Dmaj9 ; Emaj 1st inversion (with C sharp bass) ; F#min7 ; E maj

Damn, I forgot how much I loved this tune. I haven't listened to it for ages!

Sounds Ok on guitar, you just need a couple of extra fingers wink

Thanks. I orginally attacked the song in A, sliding down the scale on the bass line.

Parts of it sounded right; parts didn't. I'll take your post home and mess around some more.

I appreciate your help!
