A Children'z story, Inspired by Prince. "A Zebra Christmas" is a story that I have copyrighted1994. The story went through years of changes, that perfected the lines over time...however, the origingal was 18 pages long...and I cut it in half in 98, or so, due to the repeat rejection. I had been also searching 4 a professional cartoonist, which I have yet to find, and this story remains under cover...However, the story's presence is known to several publishers, as well as major corporations. I also believe Prince is aware this story exists, because Prince was the first human being to recieve the initial copy, and, the remake...If they were recieved...I do not know 4 sure.
Anyway...as the letter Z, was born into American society, so was my idea of explaining equality between human beings, as children of two stripez of parents, whomever they should be. I also, have respect for the children of the world that have had problems being interracial children...and in the kid's eyez is where the love can change...some people may be set in their segregated ways, and eventually, the old ideas die. So we pray for a good world that loves eachother's individuality, and set of circumstances born into. The story takes about 4 minutes to read...And everynight...I pray for it's life. The love between Sonny and Xenia, is although the means, or the avenue, of this love's expression, it is shy of the love of world unity. I hope you enjoy it. A Zebra Christmas Works By: T. On the western side Of a mountain wide Was a black and white land Of the zebra kind. Deep in the heart Of this black and white place, There’s no other colors Of stripes on a face. On an iced over street, Near the black mountains view, Lives Grand-daddy Zebra, Little Sonny Zebra too. Candy zane makers, That’s what they are, The best black and white zanes, From here to the starz. Grand-dad and Sonny Worked late one night, Created a zane, Truly out of sight. Sonny started mixing Dreams and fairy tales, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Heaven and hail. 2 Zabra, Cazebra Zoo! Much to their surprize, Wasn’t black, wasn’t white, ‘twaz zurple, my oh my! When Grand-daddy and Sonny Returned home that night, They were silly and happy With a colorful light. They walked in the house Quiet with all their might, “Zhhh…,” said the zouse, “please don’t turn on the light.” The room was dark and light, The fire was aglow, The zouse just lay their zleeping, His glasses tipped his nose. Sonny started joking, Tapped his zebra hoof, and shouted, “I think I see Zanta Up there on the roof!” The zouse stood up! With one ear in the air, Angrily asking, “What iz the laughing in here?” 3 “Zebra day is coming!” “Look what we have made!” “A present very rare!” “A candy zane of shade!” The zouse whispered softly, “Now the time has come, To tell you of the legend, From far beyond the mountain zun.” “Over the black and white rainbow, Past the black mountains view, Lives another zebra village, Of an ever amazing hue.” “Colorz that amaze you, Light the nights and days, Shadez of all spectrumz, Even on a zebra face!” Sonny wanted to go there, However, Grand-daddy told him, “NO!” “In the valley lives a monster!” “A crazy snow tornado!” “He plays with the snow And the black from the night, He twirls them just so, With vigorous might!” 4 Early the next morning Sonny tip-hoofed out the house, Being careful not to wake Grand-dad, Or the little live-in zouse. To the edge of the valley Sonny wandered alone, He came across a sign that read, SCAREDY ZAT ZONE!! All of a sudden It started to snow, The wind began rushing Whistling notes. Sonny looked left, Sonny looked right, It was now black and scary In the water at night. Sonny heard breezes Coming ‘round the rivers bend… The Snow Monster whirled Sonny Into a cave my friend. Grand-daddy worried at home. A day and dark passed by, Everyone was praying that Sonny would be alright. 5 Two more whites and nights Had passed. ZEBRA EVE WAS HERE AT LAST! Sonny was still in the cave, When the rocks began to move. The wind blew so strong, It pushed the moonshine through. Sonny was freed, Just in time, To try to make it home, Before Zebra eve night. Sonny crossed the water, eyed another cave in sight, Sonny echoed, “Hello-www.. Is anyone there inside?” Waiting for a moment, When much to his surprise, A voice returned, “I’ve been in here all-night.” “I’ve been hurt in the storm, I was thrown by a breeze, I thought no-one would find me, I thought I would freeze.” 6 “I’m from beyond the mountain, From home I’ve run away, In search of a white and black, Far away place.” Sonny lit his candle To see the face inside, What a beautiful zebra he saw, Of the enchanted colored kind! “My name is Xenia,” she said, “it’s nice to meet you.” “You’re a miracle,” Sonny said. “How do you do?” Back in black and white Sonny carried Xenia home, Passing right through, The zitty-zat-zone. Sonny and Xenia arrived At the Candy zane shop. There was hard-working, Grand-daddy-pop. Grand-dad was so happy, So thankful to see, Sonny and Xenia, On this Zebra eve. 7 Sonny started working, He mixed his journeyed tale, Some Earth, Wind, and Fire, And zleeping Xenia hair! Zalas! It was done! The best candy zanes in town! Presents for everyone! When the zebras’ gather ‘round. Zebra Day is here! Zig-Zag Zoo-ray! The three zebras’ went to town, To give their miracle away. All of the village, And Spirit-Zebra came, Even the live-in zouses’ Did just the same. Grand-father stood proudly When the story was told, Of Sonny finding Xenia, From beginning to fold. Spirit-Zebra spoke. Uniting the crowd. The zebras’ began praying, This saying out loud. 8 “Goodbye evening, Hello morning light, I hope that zebra dreams Were sweet last night.” Spirit Zebra’s psalm On this sunny holiday’ Went something like; Black and white has with it A beautiful kind of gray. “A never-ending miracle.” “A never-ending dream.” “And friends of a particular Color scheme.” Spirit-zebra closed the story With a tale the zebras’ know. And just to share it once again, This story here it goes… On this Zebra Christmas morn, A baby zebra was born, All the angelz began to sing, This baby zebra was a special thing. All came from all places’ To witness his birth, His, the most precious innocent love, Of all on Earth. 9 The baby whistled with the wind, Shown like the zun, Split prismz in the rain, And forgave everyone. We will see these zebra-brights’ Still hiding in the dark, Just like faith is known, Only hidden in your heart. Z. End. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I'd love to see them that is a wonderful story I can see it all, beautifully written and enchanting. I wish it was published, something that unique and lovely should be shared. Thankyou for posting Tame. . Its interesting that ur illustrations are ' vital to the completion' as i too write poetry that should be seen within the context of the colours I paint around it. The poems Ive posted on here should all have a colour background that depicts an element of the message within the text. I always knew you had talent from ur other posts I think one day we should all collaborate and make an orgers artists book and self-publish for others to enjoy. walk with crooked shoes www.myspace/syblepurplelishous
