suspended (niagara)


ebbing along a winding pathway
then flowing and gathering momentum
gushing, crashing, far away through
to the precipice, swelling towards
that important moment..

so, this is life ..

focusing in the future event
that promises fulfillment, and
so, an eternity away as it seems
the flow pushes forward until
the edge is in sight

so, this is life.

At last jostling together forward,
leaping high into the air the froth
emerges, illuminated by the sun.
The power, the might of the oneness
roaring its presence to all

so, this is life.

Awesome din, soft cool spray a
work of art and amazement -
suspended together, each a
single sphere of colour in that
moment apart, just there.

So, is this life?

unique, all glistening casting
a thousand rainbows, suspended
in mid life a creation separated
just gently turning in the air, slowed
for a mere fraction of its being.

Then, as is life,

the droplets seeming so insignificant
start to fall, twisting, turning, faster,
faster in so doing rejoins, regroups, reforms
becomes a deadly terrible force. Crashing,
eroding - loudly forming - the future

so, this IS life.

you posted this for me, and today this seems so oddly like... MY life. there seem to be upheavals for me just now that are also part of a natural flow of events... you know, water finding its level.

as you said water finds its level, dont panic and you will not drown, but be washed up somewhere new ..

as my poem says, the erosion of water creates the patterns of the earth we tread on and so life wends its way with its ups and downs to create in you a stronger being that can overcome most things take strength from those around you and together you become a force to be reckoned with against those things that seek to bring you down
